Do you prefer regular phones, smart phones, pda phones? Why?
I'm a PDA phone person myself.
P.S., iPhone is a smartphone!

I prefer smartphones, but my cheapness gets the better of me. So, right now, I'm using a dumbphone.
My next phone will probably be a smartphone. The one after that will be a dumbphone, and so on and so forth...

Blackberry 8310 all the way. Then I have an iPhone. I have no idea what you would consider that. Smart or pda? I consider it an iPod phone considering it's lacking too many features to be called a true pda. (Well in my opinion anyways). But it's great for watching movies and the ipod. Which is what I use it for!

Neither could I, I tried using a dumbphone but just didn't have the patience for all the boringlyness.

Ha, I would miss my email and the ability to easily add nearly any application out there, as well as the great browsing. What would you miss?

I prefer to have one of each (dumbphone vs. PDA/smartphone) since I have two lines of service

I thought a CrackBerry was considered a Smartphone instead of a Personal Digital Assistant? I selected Smartphone on that assumption and apparently I'm the only one.
At least CNET calls my Pearl an entry level Smartphone.

I guess you COULD classify it as both? It definitely has most of the features of both. I guess blackberries are their own breed?

After about two years of using various PDA phones, I am back to a regular phone.
Slips in my pocket better, looks better, and best of all...people don't expect me to check my email all day anymore. :)

I like Blackberries. I recommend them to people pretty frequently, as I believe they're the easiest smartphones to get up and running without headaches.
However, for a smartphone, the amount of third party software leaves something to be desired. Based on that, I still prefer WM and Palm. Blackberry is getting better, though.

I love BlackBerry's simply for the e-mail solutions, and the fact that they just "work" - kind of like a Mac. I use BB Messenger for connecting with my colleagues, and enjoy the speed at which everything works. Perhaps it's just because I'm used to them.
Now, if Sprint would just get the Curve sometime in this decade....

Well, I'll give it up, WM6 pro isn't as bad as I thought! My mom and sister got SMT-5800's today from Verizon, and while they were looking, I checked out the HTC Touch from Verizon. Dang, I want one now! Or a 5800

Now that the Curve has been pushed to the end of this decade, I will most likely go back to an 8830.

I love my v3xx, it does what I need it to do. I do like most phones and enjoy switching.
Ive got over 900 hours on my V3xx calltimer and who knows how many texts and GB's of data. I'd say its well over 50,000 texts and 20gb of data. AND its still using the original battery.
I also have a BJ and BJ II.

smartphone... still like the convenience of a phone format. Might do PDA types. I like bbs but they're so useless for everything outside of e-mail and the UI is so dated.
