Mac or PC or Other

What do you prefer and why? I'm not listing all the OS'es.

I prefer Mac...it just works!

Similar to smartphones vs. dumbphones. I go back and forth on the issue.

Right now I'm using a PC. Before that I had a Mac. I'll probably buy another Mac soon.

Why don't I have a Mac right now? Because they just break. My last Mac had so many hardware problems, I just couldn't put up with it anymore. So, I jumped ship, for awhile.

I prefer a Mac, but I use a Windows PC out of necessity. My last Mac stopped working and I just haven't accumulated the funds to buy another one, so I'm using a PC as a loaner. Usually, though, it's a Mac as my personal computer and a Windows PC at work.

I'm a MAC user, but not one of those self-righteous guys who hate PC's. In fact, I do like PC's and they are essential in our society since everyone uses them.

I just keep my MAC for personal use and stay PC savvy for work and/or business related functions.

all 3. My main machine is a Vista ultimate box, I use a Mac for Garageband work and I have Linux for media.

I use mac for multimedia, PC because a billion apps that I use are on it, Ubuntu when I'm bored and Windows Mobile on my phone. S60 is taking a rest right now.

Mac for me.

I have a Dell laptop with Windows though because work stuff necessitates that I use a PC at times. The programs I use just don't work well in virtual environments on the Mac.

I use a Mac and love it, but I also have a Dell Latitude that I'm trying to debate whether to return it or not. Any suggestions? It's the ultimate Mac vs. PC question.

I've worked with them all...Linux (OpenSUSE from Novell), Mac OS X 10.5.2 (the current version), and I just keep coming back to Windows. ;) Currently, Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit is just innnnn-credible! My first exposure to 64-bit, and loving it! :)

i'm in the market for a laptop for school.
i need something basic, cheap, and good.
mostly for writing papers, and doing work.

i have been looking at the $500 jobs from toshiba.
t2330, 2gb ram, 160gb hd, dvd burner, 15.4 inch display.
i think it's not bad at all.
what do you think?

That's exactly it for me as well. For personal use I used Windows for years, but after being dissatisfied with Vista and not wanting to go back to XP, I decided to go Mac.

I use a Mac. I like how everything works and it doesn't fail me. I'm going to have a Windows Mobile phone in a few days though, so we will see how that works out.

And I'm not a PC hater, I just prefer Mac if I'm given the choice.

All my computers are on Windows XP Home & Pro. Two are on Vista... but I really don't use those.

I prefer using my Mac, but I have a PC as well. I use editing software such as Final Cut and ProTools, so a Mac is kinda integral, at least with Final Cut.

FreeBSD on a Alpha-powered box (y'know, Alpha processors), so I guess it classifies as a PC.

Wow, there are alot of people who use Mac here.

I'm a Mac user myself, I actually converted my parents to Mac a week ago, they really enjoy their brand new (well it's already out of date) 24" iMac, it's a whole new experience for them, but they were never really computer users.
