I live and die with the Cubs.

I really like football. Basketball is OK. Honestly, though, I spend November through February just filling my sports time, waiting for pitchers and catchers to report.

As far as I'm concerned, when the boys of summer start playing, it's the beginning of summer, no matter how cold it is. God, I can't wait to get up to Wrigley.

Where do your allegiances lie?

I mostly follow individual sports like tennis, running, skating, track and field, etc. The only team sport I follow is basketball and since I don't really have a favorite, my allegiance changes depending on where I live. I always root for the home team of my current locale.

I like the Redwings.. but seeing as how Anaheim is like 30 minutes from me, I'll cheer for the Ducks.

Basebell: Chicago Cubs and then the Boston Red Sox

Football: I normally watch more college than pro, but for college Purdue, and for pro, I guess the chicago bears even though I don't normally follow them.

The only team sport that I'm into is baseball and for that it's the Chicago White Sox. The only depressing thing is that I won't get to see them as often since I no longer live in Chicago and they don't play the Milwaukee Brewers

I enjoy the fraternity/sorority, the brother/sister-hood, the sportsmanship, the competition, the fanaticism, etc. I am losing my appeal for pro-sports, simply because there seems to be so much transparent corruption and not as much love for the share game or competition anymore, but overall I am a sports fan.

I hear ya. I prefer watching college sports over pro sports a majority of the time. I just think the general atmosphere of going to a college football game is much more fun and pleasing than that of going to say, a chicago bears game.

That and the fact that pro football tickets in the US are grossly overpriced.

My eyes about fell out of my head when my friend showed me the bears tickets she got for her husband for his bday last year. Over 700 bucks for two tickets! That's ridiculous. I only paid a little over that to see Madonna 2nd row. I would not pay it to see a bunch of sweaty guys run a field. 100 bucks for a football game, doable. 700, ridiculous.
