Hi,
I have a 1996 Toyota Corolla and the mileage per tank is been getting really bad, so i am planning to change my air filter, spark plugs and my fuel filter.

so I was wondering where if Fuel Filter located?

anything else you guys recommend to improve my mileage per take?

I am getting about 350 - 375L+/- for city driving per tank(50L) before I could get 400 - 425L+ per tank in the city and 600 - 625L+ per tank on the highway

I have been driving the speed limit and do not accelerate hard and driving to places that I really need to go and plan out the day do i do multiple task in one day

thanks

How do you replace the fuel filter located on a 1996 Toyota Corolla?
In: Toyota Corolla

Answer

it is right up under the master cylinder for the brakes be extremly carefull when taking it off. Unlike me i striped the threads and had to replace the fuel line (Dealer Part $45.56) not mistaking it took a 9/16's and a 3/4 drive wrenchs, you have to turn the wheels clockwise to be able to see it from driverside wheel comparment. Besure to take off the fitings first or you will end up stripping the threads. then you will have to take off the vacume box in front of the master cylinder 10mm wracket should get it. then there should be a bolt ontop of the fuel filter be sure not to lose the bolt or washers. Now just take off the bolts that hold on the fuel filter should be two of them.
