It's a 2gb Memorex and it was working fine until this morning :(
I had used it to copy over the files from the surveillance cams of the brick chucking and all went fine, the files transfered without and problems whatsoever, but when I got to my friends house and put it in the usb drive, it would not even register as being plugged in! :(
Could it be possible something happened to it in the 20 minutes from when I left work and got to my friends place, or do anyone think it may be a result of talking files off of a locked down pc with too much security and it somehow did something to my drive to prevent it from being read on other computers(i tried 4 different computers)? I don't think the former is likely because if that were the case I would imagine it would still be read when connected to the pc.
What say those who know about then I? :befuddled::swearing:
Edit- Given that it's probably pooched, does anyone know any methods of retrieving files off a dead usb flash drive-keeping in mind it doesn't register in "My Computer"?
