So here's the problem....
I had my e62 all lined up for sale, the guy showed up and plopped his Fido sim into it, and bam, invalid sim! Fuck man, according to threads I've read, the e62 (and other smartphones) was thought to be interchangeable between Rogers and Fido without having to get it unlocked! I tried his sim in my Touch and it worked with no issues.
I told the guy I would look into getting it unlocked and get back to him, but rather then finding him a place that does cheap unlocks (I'm trying to get ahold of Dr Dave to see if he will do it for me), does anyone know off-hand how to get it done yourself? I did a quick google search, but nothing straight forward came up in the results. I plan on doing a more indepth search later today, but thought I would see if anyone here would know first.
:)

The phone portion is locked but unlike regular phones the Data settings can be edited. SW unlock will be your best bet as SPC pricess are ridiculous unless you know someone.

E62 is a BB5 phone - there is no software to compute/unlock the phone. Must be unlocked via code or a bb5box hardware.
be careful who u take the phone to, the TP on a e62 is tiny and can easily brick your phone.
Any the both rogers-and-fido locked phones are just the HTC (excalibur and touch) for now, fwik.
