CDMA, even if GSM was a possible option for me (8 months out of the year the closest GSM tower is about two hours away)

I would love to sign up with a GSM carrier. No doubt, GSM phones are awesome.

Unfortunately, GSM, in my area, sucks. So, I use Verizon and CDMA. Say what you will about their phones. Their network is second to none.

It's prefer though, not which one you are using.

For Virtually UNLIMITED everything CDMA!
Use GSM also but only because l'm unfortunate enough to have Unlimited HSDPA with Fido! :(

so, im with all of you in saying GSM ftw, but like most, i am stuck with verizon....
The 'rents pay for it, so i cannot complain... yeah.. but i am... what you gonna do? haha

GSM simply for better 3G speeds and device flexibility, however I much prefer the plans available on CDMA. If Telus offered an unlimited everything plan for $100/month (like Sprint) I would give up GSM in a heartbeat.

GSM just for the ability to swap my sim card and easily unlock certain phones...so much more variety

GSM all the way, But I do have Verizon for the network. I *HATE* Iden, it can't die quick enough in my opinion.

Ha, I actually like iDEN. No LD charges on DC anywhere in Canada/US, a SIM card, good sound quality, good coverage. The only gripe I have with iDEN is battery life, but the pros of iDEN seriously outweigh the cons.

Fuck GSM. Fuck Fockers and their lapdog brand.

I would be an iDen supporter if the data was on par with GSM or CDMA. The hybrid phones are a godsend for people like me who need/want fast data with DC access.

BTW: Fuck QChat

+1!!!!!

I'm curious to see what iDEN's fate will be in Canada. MiKE is owned by Telus, which also run CDMA.... I wouldn't be surprised to see the hybrids pop in Canada too.

I like CDMA, but then I've never used GSM. I like my phone, and I don'tneed to switch sims...I don't go anwhere, I don't often change my phone, and I've got my info backed up anyway

smart people back up their info... I have 3 contact lists that are NOT in my phone....

I never understood people who are like " Oh no my phone died and now I lost everything!" Dumbasses :tisktisk:

I voted CDMA, but I like the W-CDMA version.

I like GSM and prefer it, though if Rogers doesn't work something better with their data rates I may have to get a second line--nonGSM. >shudder<
