what is slowfo?

I can swear I can swear! Let me be George Carlin for a second:

So what's SlowFo? What is it's goal?

I'm glad to be able to post in a forum that allows real discussion, rather than just tech support. (Referring specifically to Telusmobility.howardforums.com)
I don't know how HoFo even calls itself a forum: every time you say what you are thinking you get a PM saying you're about to get the ban hammer. Does Howard's dad beat him every time someone swears on HoFo?

The worst part is that the "mods" don't actually Moderate. They don't keep threads on track or actually participate at all. They just sit there waiting to get a swearing complaint, and then pass out bans as if they're personally cleaning up the internet. (Then they go upstairs to their Mom's kitchen and get themselves some milk before beating off to Hentai for another hour.) The "hot" new phone on TELUS is the Curve, and in the last few weeks we have had more than 40 (forty) separate threads about it. The "moderator" apparently couldn't spend any time Moderating the forum due to the fingers of his fursuit being too fat to type. He did find time to threaten to ban me for this image, though:

In other forums (i.e. slashdot, for instance) people share their real views -- whether or not those views may be PC or at odds with what someone else thinks. They can even say what they think about *each other's attitudes*, which I think is valid.

Okay I am still not following. Something is up.

SlowFo sounds like HoFo and uses a HoFo-imitation logo. Someone posted that Howard chose the name.

Then a whole bunch of users who seriously have years of their lives invested in HoFo, with maybe 100k HoFo posts between them, go over and spam HoFo. And get themselves banned. And they're "community anchors" at HoFo; the people who really make HoFo what it is. And they happen to be SlowFo mods.

Who created/owns SlowFo, is it in opposition to HoFo, am I going to get banned from HoFo for having SlowFo in my name, and what does Howard think of all this? In short, what's going on?

Could someone PM me and explain all this?

I'm not so sure you deserved a ban. I think what got you, is that you started a thread after warnings started going out.

Some people who got banned got what they had coming, and from the looks of it, it's what they were trying for.

I'm not sure I deserved a ban, all I was doing was asking why my threads were merged/closed. Aurora was being way way too heavy handed with his howard given authority and he has to be defrocked! Craziness I tell you, something it rotten at the core with Aurora! :)

This was a forum that Howard himself created. You can't spam that which also belongs to you. BTW, you should stick around. I think this site has all the potential to make the Hofo Lounge irrelevant if done right. Just chill, ok?

Honestly, I'm not that big into the lounge anyway. I go to hofo, mostly, for cellphone related stuff. I just kinda dabble in The Lounge and TFS.

So, really, a forum like this isn't my bag. I'm surprised that I've remained as active as I have. Usually, when I join a forum like this, it doesn't hold my interest very long. IMO the drama of the last couple of days is the most interesting thing that's happened on this site since it's inception, that and the "change one letter word thread".

Update: I just got a PM from the Telusmobility.hofo.com quote-unquote "Moderator" stating that this was my "First And Only Warning" because I had "derailed" a thread about Family Guy. Family Guy! In the TELUS forum!

It was so ironic that my head almost imploded. I was laughing too hard to type at first... The thread was actually about some TELUS phones, but got totally jacked to be about cartoons by other people because that forum is not moderated at all.

The guy doesn't even read the forum he supposedly "moderates." He just masturbates to CP and waits for complaint PM's, at which point he goes around threatening bans. He threatened to ban me without even (apparently) reading the thread he was banning me for. If he had read it, he would have known that it was jacked by others and I was commenting on the jacking!

Anyway there is altogether too much "jacking" going on over at HoFo; I am glad to post here instead.
