if so, what do tend to recycle the most?
i recycle mostly plastic, and paper.
tin cans too, even tho we don't do too many canned goods.
the soda and beer cans go back to the package store for deposit.
my neighbors tho, they recycle i think even used tp. everything in sight gets recycled.
those tree huggers make it an outing every wednesday day night b4 pick up day. sorting, and bagging, and categorizing.

My Family as did many others started recycling back in the Second World War when resources were scarce to come by, other than what was available on the Blackmarket.
l personally started recycling with my involvement in Boy Scout Paper Drives.
:) The memories of hiding stashes of discarded Playboy magazines in boxcars being loaded with bundled papers.
Reduce is the 1st R before both Reuse & Recycle. REFUSE to buy worthless crap is an R that should be included to the list.

Yes, my family and I are good recyclers. I recycle paper, corrugated (sp?), cans and glass. Me, my mother and my sister were featured in our city newspaper (www.cincinnati.com) because we were identified as model recyclers, and because we are close to the mayor who suggested a family lol. We usually fill 3 bins with recycling per week.

We recycle paper, plastic, glass, and aluminum.
I guess you could say I recycle electronics, since I sell them when they've been replaced. None of my old gadgets stick around very long.

Here, it's not mandatory that you recycle. However, you pay for what you throw away, so it's to your benefit to recycle.

i was just thinking.
i saw a documentary about people in Japan where they take their daily trash to work and throw it out at whatever st. or train station barrel they pass.

if you put all the empties outside of your house, you can be sure your own neighbors will collect them for you and keep the nickel to themselves.
Yes I recycle whatever is recyclable.

Nope. For a few reasons. One is that where I live currently there is no recycling set up in the complex that I currently live in. Two: It uses more energy to recycle material vs. creating new material outside out aluminum. If I was to recycle, I would have to take it to the recycling center myself and my time is spread too thin as it is.

Paper, cardboard, plastic, glass and aluminum are what my wife and I recycle.
Helps living in "hippie county" - Boulder County (Colorado).
We also use the reusable cloth bags for groceries.
